The majority of the holes are set amongst rows of olive trees. There are various water hazards, some of which have been intelligently placed near the club house, protecting the greens on the 9th and 18th, the latter by a large lake, but players all seem to highlight the par three 4th, an unusual hole that incorporates a rugged hill, and that as seen from the tee, the green seems much further away than it really is. Nearby are the courses of Alhaurin Golf, Mijas Golf, La Cala Golf, El Parador Golf, Guadalhorce Golf and Torrequebrada Golf, all within a pleasant 30 minutes drive.

Lauro Golf Apartments offer a package of accommodation, rental car and three rounds of golf per person (at Lauro) or one round at Lauro Golf and two at any of the above courses.
