The designer, Falco Nardi, has respected the autochthonous vegetation and created a course full of difficulties in which practically all the tee-offs pose complications, although, as a whole, the course is very gentle, and includes nine lakes and a large variety of fruit trees: orange, lemon and fig. The majority of the course's holes are set between rows of olive trees.

There are various water hazards, some of which have been intelligently placed near the Club House, protecting the greens of the 9th and 18th, the latter by a large lake, but players all seem to highlight par-three 4th, an unusual hole that incorporates a rugged hill, and that seen from the tee, the green seems much further away than it really is.

The Club House is a beautiful farmhouse, over two hundreds years old, with its typical structure, built around a shady patio that is now used as an open-air restaurant.

It affords the possibility, like many others of the Costa del Sol,to enjoy the Mediterranean scenery while practising the game for it is nestled in a natural environment, near the coast, at about 1,000 feet above sea-level, on a large estate with its own wells.

The introduction last year of a further nine holes makes Lauro Golf a perfect course that you could quite easily enjoy 3 rounds during your Golfing Holiday as it provides the possibility of "mix & matching" the 3 different nines.

There are some breathtaking views and spectacular holes none less that the 26th Par 3 across a ravine. A challenging course, not so tough and none too easy.

Alhaurin de la Torre is 15 minutes by a scenic drive from the coast where there are many beautiful beaches. We are near to Torremolinos and Benalmadena, just half an hour to Fuengirola and 1 hour to Marbella. A two and a half hour drive will get you to the ski slopes of Sierra Nevada in the winter and spring period. There are many picturesque routes into the mountains and lake areas are all within half an hour of the apartments.

There are 2 aqua parks situated in Torremolinos and Fuengirola, a Sea World, Tivoli World Fun Park for children and adults and a spectacular marina in Benalmadena, and a new crocodile park within 10 minutes drive. A clay pigeon shoot is within 5 minutes drive and 3 golf courses within 15 minutes.

Other attractions include clay pigeon shooting, jet skiing, hand gliding and boat trips.
